Empowering the Future EU Workforce through AI and VET Innovation
On 9 October 2025, the partners of the “AI-VET Project – Innovating Digital Skills in Vocational Education and Training for the Future Workforce” co-funded by the Erasmus Plus programme (Erasmus+ KA210-VET, 2024-2-MT01-KA210-VET-000276914) of the European Union, met in Malta to coordinate the next stages of this European initiative.
Hosted by the project coordinator, the Maltese Italian Chamber of Commerce, the meeting brought together our organisation (Vernian RTI) and ASCAE Impresa Sociale (Italy) to align on the project’s vision, which is to enhance vocational education through Artificial Intelligence, fostering digital and green competences that meet the real needs of today’s and tomorrow’s labour market.
During the meeting, partners discussed progress on:
- the development of the Needs Assessment Framework,
- the creation of the AI-VET curriculum, and
- the use of innovative, inclusive teaching approaches that connect VET providers, learners, and industry.
This in-person exchange marks a promising step toward a more modern, inclusive, and sustainable European VET ecosystem – where AI becomes a driver of opportunity and lifelong learning.
