Project EAGLE will reach its conclusion at the end of the year.
As Vernian RTI we are proud to reflect on this journey that brought together universities, SME networks, training providers, industry actors and innovation partners from across Europe with a common objective, to strengthen the digital skills and digital readiness of European SMEs.

Co-funded by the European Union under the Digital Europe Programme (grant agreement No 101100660) and coordinated by the University of Burgos, the project addressed one of the most pressing challenges faced by SMEs today, the growing digital skills gap.
Through practical, accessible, and industry-oriented training, our project contributed to equipping SMEs, professionals, and job seekers with knowledge and competences in key digital domains like cybersecurity, blockchain, data analytics, industrial robotics, and emerging technologies.
As a Cyprus-based SME specialised in Digital Readiness & Resilience, Vernian RTI actively contributed to the implementation of the project through training delivery, in collaboration with our university partners, dissemination, stakeholder engagement, and quality and ethics support. Our participation reinforced our strong belief that digital transformation is not only about technology adoption, it is also about empowering people and organisations to adapt, innovate, and remain resilient in our increasingly digital economy.
The project promoted meaningful collaborations between academia, industry, and SMEs across seven European countries, demonstrating the value of European cooperation in addressing real market and societal needs. The project also highlighted the importance of lifelong learning, flexible education models, and stronger links between Higher Education Institutions and the business community.

The Final Conference of Project EAGLE, was hosted by the Graduate and Professional Studies of the University of Limerick and Skillnet Ireland, and represented an opportunity to reflect on the project’s achievements, exchange experiences, and discuss the future of digital upskilling and reskilling for SMEs in Europe.
We would like to thank all consortium partners, trainers, learners, SMEs, and stakeholders who contributed to the success of Project EAGLE.
Vernian RTI remains committed to supporting initiatives that strengthen digital readiness, innovation, and resilience for organisations in Cyprus and across Europe.
