This August (2026), our team is hosting Professor Vasyl Martsenyuk from the University of Bielsko-Biala, Poland, our partner in the FORCE HORIZON-MSCA project, for his secondment in Cyprus.
As part of the secondment, we had the opportunity to discuss some of the latest research of the University of Bielsko-Biala team on AI-driven blockchain analytics, including forecasting, anomaly detection, blockchain regime classification and explainable approaches for identifying abnormal blockchain behaviour.
Beyond delivering the project’s research activities, bringing people and organisations together to share knowledge, exchange perspectives and create new opportunities for collaboration is an important part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Staff Exchanges programme.
For Vernian, the exchange is particularly relevant to our work in technology, cybersecurity, governance, regulatory compliance and digital resilience. Understanding how research in emerging technologies evolve helps us explore how they can be governed, trusted and applied responsibly in practice.
The exchange provides further opportunities to share expertise and strengthen the collaboration between Vernian and our partners in the FORCE consortium.
A special thank you to our coordinators at Aston University, particularly Professor Vladlena Benson MBE and Bogdan Savva, for their ongoing support and guidance.

FORCE – Fostering Optimal Regulatory Compliance for Cryptocurrencies: An Interdisciplinary Approach has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (HORIZON-MSCA-2024-SE-01), Grant Agreement No. 101235440.
