Under the framework of the FORCE HORIZON-MSCA project, Vernian was pleased to host Professor Vladlena Benson, Director of the Aston University Cyber Security Innovation Research Centre, during her MSCA secondment in Cyprus in November 2025.
During her secondment we had the opportunity to exchange knowledge and perspectives, discuss the work undertaken within FORCE and strengthen our collaboration with Aston University, ourproject coordinator.
The secondment also provided an important opportunity to connect the FORCE project with the wider cybersecurity community in Cyprus.
During her visit, Professor Benson also participated in the SHE@CYBER conference, organised by Vernian, which brought together cybersecurity professionals and representatives from across the Cyprus ecosystem, including the Chairman of the Nicosia District Council, the Director of the Office of the Commissioner of Communications, and the country manager of VISA.
Professor Benson joined an expert panel, sharing perspectives on cybersecurity innovation and the importance of collaboration between research, industry and national authorities. Her participation brought the research perspective of FORCE into the discussion around the cybersecurity challenges and opportunities facing organisations today.
International mobility and knowledge exchange are at the heart of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Staff Exchanges programme. For Vernian, activities like these offer an opportunity to strengthen collaboration with our partners, and connect the knowledge and expertise developed through European research with organisations, professionals and stakeholders in Cyprus.
We look forward to continuing our collaboration and knowledge exchange through FORCE.
