Vernian RTI is proud to be part of the “FORCE – Fostering Optimal Regulatory Compliance for Cryptocurrencies: An Interdisciplinary Approach” project consortium, a new project funded under the Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Staff Exchanges programme (https://force-msca.eu/index.php).
FORCE will address a growing challenge for the financial sector, to ensure effective Anti-Money Laundering compliance in an increasingly complex cryptocurrency and decentralised finance environment.
While cryptocurrencies and decentralised finance are creating new opportunities for faster, accessible and efficient financial services, their decentralised characteristics create risks that traditional monitoring and compliance systems were not designed to address.
FORCE brings together universities, research organisations and innovative SMEs from across Europe to examine these challenges through an interdisciplinary approach covering:
- blockchain analytics and artificial intelligence,
- quantum-safe cryptography,
- regulatory, legal and governance compliance,
- decentralised finance and the Digital Euro,
- education, training and knowledge exchange.
The project aims to support the development of secure, scalable and future-ready approaches for identifying and responding to illicit activity within digital asset markets. Through research, staff exchanges and cross-border collaboration, FORCE will connect technological development with legal, regulatory and operational expertise.
For Vernian , participation in FORCE is closely aligned with our work in regulatory compliance, cybersecurity governance, digital resilience and responsible innovation. Our contribution will help ensure that emerging technological approaches are not considered in isolation, but are connected to the practical requirements of implementation, accountability and trust.
The wider ambition of FORCE is to strengthen financial security, support more effective Anti-Money Laundering practices and contribute to a resilient and trustworthy digital financial ecosystem.
